WEST LORNE RISING STARS TOURNAMENTS
Hello North Middlesex Jr Star Fans
CHAMPIONS! CHAMPIONS! BANTAM REP CHAMPIONS!
Your North Middlesex Bantam Rep team travel to West Lorne this weekend for a tournament. The team started the tournament off slow losing to the hometown West Lorne team, but wait a minute, the second game was the TSN turning point of the tournament. The boys play South Kent and came out on top with a win. Then we were seeded and again we play the hometown West Lorne team again. They start right where they left off from the second game with a win.
That win put us into the semi-finals against the number 1 seed, the Ilderton Jets. The boys battle hard and again put another 'W' on the board. With the win the Bantam rep team was off to the finals against the East Lambton Eagles. Both teams battle three periods, 5 minute overtime and right into a shootout. First two shooters fail to score. Second shooters, East Lambton player fail to score and our Nathan Vanhooydonk went down with beautiful goal, scores for one up in the shootout. Third shooter for East Lambton came out and need to score to tie it up. But hold the phone, Finley Lascelles comes up with spectacular glove save to win the game and tournament.
The Bantam Rep team as had there issues and a rough start, but the coaching staff and myself are so proud of you boys. BIG WIN BOYS!!!!!!
Feels good to be CHAMPIONS, CHAMPIONS always need to continue work hard.
