23/24 Hockey Referees Needed
Are you interested in becoming a referee?
There is no better time to sign up than this upcoming season.
In little over a day of training, you can be on the ice officiating the game you love!
Below are the minimum requirements to become an Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) referee:
• Must be 14 years of age or older as of December 31, 2023
• Those 18 years of age and older must submit an acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Completion of the online Hockey University 1/2 course Completion of the online Respect in Sports
• Officials Course Completion of an in-person OMHA entry level clinic including Hockey Canada exam
OMHA Entry Level Referee Clinic on Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24. Candidates born in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 only are eligible to attend a 2 day training in Komoka.
Once participant complete and pass the Referee Clinic, NMDMHA will reimburse the cost of the course.
Deadline to qualify is: June 9th.
