25/26 OMHA Equipment Safety Rules
Player safety is always one of our top priorities, and it starts with properly worn equipment. When gear such as helmets, facemasks, mouthguards, neck guards, or goalie throat protectors (“danglers”) is not worn correctly, players are at serious risk of injury.

That’s why the OMHA has created a guide to help all participants understand the correct way to wear their equipment. All equipment must be worn at every practice, game, and extra ice time, including mouthguards.

On-ice officials will be enforcing Hockey Canada rules regarding illegal equipment. This includes both failing to wear the required gear and wearing it incorrectly, and penalties can be given out for these infractions.

Let's stay safe, Jr. Stars!
